The problem
Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles span hundreds of model variants across decades. Customers need absolute confidence a part fits their exact vehicle — the wrong part causes mechanical damage. Sellers face a hard tradeoff: hold massive inventory or refuse niche SKUs and leak revenue.
The solution
A specialized e-commerce platform with two unique mechanisms. A vehicle-fitment system filters the entire catalog by exact selection (brand, model, year, engine) using OEM part-number matching for guaranteed compatibility. A hybrid inventory model combines warehouse stock with live supplier feeds via the RIDEX API — when a customer orders a supplier-held part, the order auto-routes to that supplier for fulfillment. Full stack: search, filtering, cart, Stripe checkout, order tracking, admin.
The outcome
Catalog expanded well beyond warehouse capacity without tying up working capital. Fitment compatibility errors eliminated through OEM matching. Order routing automated end-to-end.
